How could I not start this month’s newsletter off without saying this first, after all this is the time of year that we stop and reflect on the old year leaving us and all things that were good or bad. Somehow the New Year brings rebirth, new opportunity and a chance to forget the past and the hope that another 365 days just might be better.

The GBBC is pleased to make this announcement as the W Hotel Boston has made a significant investment and appearance in the City of Boston. GBBC and THE POINT FOUNDATION CHECK PRESENTATION IN NEW YORK

On Wednesday, November 11, 2009, The Greater Boston Business Council presented its first check to The Point Foundation, a national non-profit organization that distributes higher education scholarships to GLBT students desiring to advance their education by attending colleges and universities. The GBBC, along with many other corporations, businesses, non-profits, business chambers and individuals from around the country contribute together in order to create a stronger and more valued scholarship program.

The 2009 NGLCC/Wells Fargo LGBT Business Owner of the Year Award

The NGLCC has extended the application deadline for GBBC Members to apply for the LBGT Business Owner of the Year Award given out by the NGLCC. The deadline has been extended until August 10th!
This means our members still have time to apply for the award and the opportunity to recognized among the LGBT community nationally and be the recipient of many awards prizes.
