Of special interest to all working in the field of HIV prevention will be the results of the Boston, Atlanta and San Francisco CDC-sponsored PrEP trial, the first to test the safety of Tenofovir as an oral pre-exposure prophylactic in men who have sex with men. We will also hear the results from CAPRISA 004, a vaginal microbicide trial being conducted in South Africa to test the safety and efficacy of a tenofovir gel in preventing male-to-female HIV transmission.

AP Television WriterNEW YORK (AP)—After a meeting with gay and lesbian activists on Thursday, NBC’s “Today” show said it is changing the rules for its annual wedding contest to allow same-sex couples to apply for a ceremony conducted on morning TV.

The GBBC is seeking applicants for two, at-large board positions. The successful candidate would be required to attend the monthly board meeting, be responsible for duties as a board member as well as attend as-needed meetings for their particular specialty.
